Job:  Grant Manager
Pay:  $36/hour
Location:  Kingston, NY
Schedule:  Monday - Friday 8:30am-4:30pm w/ 1 hour meal break
Job Type: Temp to Perm 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Grant Manager’s primary responsibilities are grant monitoring/general ledger administration and overall assistance with financial tracking and reporting of various departments and programs. 

Position Responsibilities:
  • Grant Administration:  Responsible for tracking grant contracts and reporting requirements. Maintain grant budgets and monitor monthly grant expenditures. Submit monthly vouchers and required financial reports to funders. Review grant receivables and correspond with funders regarding outstanding payments. Correspond with program staff regarding due dates and grant funds. Assistance with funding applications, primarily budget forms also required.
 
  • General Ledger:  Responsible for allocating costs to correct program and grant categories.  Assist with financial reporting to Program Managers and other senior staff
 
  • Annual Budget:  Assist VP of Finance with preparation of annual operating budget and spreadsheets.
  • Annual Audit:  Assisting during annual audit and periodic audits by oversight agencies; specifically in grants receivable. Reconcile SEFA Federal Award amount.
 
  • Meetings with Staff for budget to actuals
 
  • Assisting the finance team with general accounting duties when extra help is needed or requested. 
 
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Experience
  • A minimum of an A/S in Accounting or Business is required. Requires a strong knowledge of MS Excel.  Experience with Financial Edge and Yardi is a plus.
  • Customer/Client service experience helpful
  • Ability to communicate effectively
  • Friendly and Personable
  • Effective interpersonal skills. 
  • Flexibility to modify or alter daily driving assignments as designated by supervisor to best serve to the needs of the tenants as appropriate
  • Ability to follow and respect the rules of the program as designed by management.
  • Willingness to offer ideas and suggestions to management as part of the program ongoing development
  • Ability to work with diverse groups including those with physical and mental disabilities. 
  •    Basic computer literacy for checking email and recording hours worked

  • Maintain a work environment in a clean, organized, and safe manner. Conduct daily inspections of work areas to look for unsafe conditions
  • Ensure all accidents are reported to supervisor and Human Resources,
  • Maintain practices to ensure Health and Safety compliance
  • Use all required safety devices and personal protective equipment.

  • Maintain a clean and neat appearance consistent with agency standards
  • Attend all required meetings and trainings
  • Participate in training programs for professional growth as scheduled and approved
  • Responsible for understanding and adhering to  applicable program rules, regulations and policies. Keep abreast of any changes or modifications to policies or regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned
