Position:Â Non-CDL Box Truck Driver
Location:Â Traveling within NY boundaries throughout the areas and delivering to in NYC, leaving from New Windsor.
Pay range:Â $20/hour
Job Type:Â Temp to Perm
Schedule: Monday - Saturday, starting 6am - until deliveries are done. 5-6 days a week, 8 - 10 hour days.Â
Requirements:
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid driver’s license
- Must be knowledgeable on airbrakes and understand the Long Island/NYC areas
- Must have and be able to maintain a professionally acceptable driving record
- Must have and be able to maintain a valid DOT medical card
Position Summary:
- Fully understand how to operate and safely drive an assigned delivery vehicle
- Drive trucks with a vehicle weight of 27,000lbs and height of 13ft
- Obey all state and local traffic laws
- Must drive with appropriate consideration given weather and road conditions
- Must comply with ICC, DOT, and FMCSA regulations/
- Responsible for counting and recording all cash/checks given to driver by customer upon delivery of product
- Safely and ethically transferring cash/checks from customer to company according to procedures
