Job: Part Time Breakfast and Lunch Attendant
Location: Catskill, NY
Pay: $21/hour
Job Type: Temporary 12-14 weeks with potential to become permanent.
Schedule: Friday, Saturday & Sunday 7:00am-3:30pm
Position Summary: The Resort Breakfast & Lunch Attendant is responsible for operating breakfast & lunch services at hotel. This includes a continental style breakfast, a la carte lunch and beverage services such as coffee, tea, beer and wine. They will maintain organization and cleanliness of the dining room while providing excellent customer service to our guests.
Essential Responsibilities:
? Greet guests as they enter the dining room and direct them to their table
? Take orders for morning beverages and a la carte breakfast
? Take orders for coffees, juices and other morning beverages
? Take orders for lunch and safely serve guests with allergy and dietary restrictions
? Attend to the beverage station replenishing coffee & tea in the morning and infused water/tea in the afternoon
? Ability to follow directions on assembling batched mocktails and cocktails
? Be able to properly describe our wines, beers, and other drinks to guests
? Work with Toast to enter orders, charge cabins or credit cards and reconcile tips.
? Inform management of low stock or wasted product
? Maintain a presence on the restaurant floor to be attentive to our guests
? Maintain a clean and orderly dining room
? Set up and break down the dining room to house standards
? Perform shift end duties such as spot cleaning, polishing, folding napkins, etc.
? Maintain effective communication with Floor Captain and other department leaders
? Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of the property, amenities and hotel as a brand
? Perform any and all duties as required as hotel develops and changes over time.
? Be accommodating of a schedule that will consist of morning, afternoon, weekend and/or holiday shifts
Required Qualifications:
? Minimum of 1 year front of house F&B experience
? Must be fluent in English with strong verbal and written skills
? Ability to work positively and professionally in a high-end establishment
? Knowledge of service industry and food and beverage environment
? History of effective collaboration and communication in working with managers, bartenders, and culinary staff
? Punctuality, reliability and professionalism in all aspects of the role
Working Conditions:
? Be able to spend long periods of time standing
? Must be able to lift items weighing up to 30 lbs
? Working with hot liquids and a hot espresso machine
? Must be able to work holidays and weekends
? Must accommodate schedule changes due to special events or holidays
? Must be willing to working indoors and outdoors depending on season
