Job Description

Position: Carpenter or Foreman
Hours: MON-FRI, 7AM-4PM
Pay: $26 - 35/hour (BOE)
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Location: Red Hook, NY
Qualification: Valid driver’s license

Job Summary: Performs tasks involving carpentry within residential and commercial building sites. This is an excellent role for an experienced / skilled Carpenter or Foreman who wants a steady paycheck with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Job Duties (Carpenter):

Operate various hand/power tools.
Frame interior walls and doorways.
Frame exterior walls and buildings.
Finish work including molding and cabinetry.
Must have knowledge and skill in all phases of carpentry.
Other duties as assigned.

Job Duties (Foreman):

Will perform carpentry role duties.
Responsible for overseeing the work of a team or crew.
Assigning tasks, providing guidance, and ensuring that work is completed according to specifications and timelines.
Act as liaisons between workers and management.
Coordinate with departments / teams to ensure that projects are progressing smoothly.
Tasked with ensuring that work meets quality standards and specifications.

Skills

Must perform general physical activities to complete task.
Has basic knowledge of the language and terminology used in this occupation.
Perform single repairs on equipment.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Drive a variety of vehicles to possibly transport materials between job sites.
Ability to use a variety of hand and power tools.
