Job Summary
The Commercial Lines Account Manager is responsible for managing and servicing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients. This role works closely with underwriters, and clients to ensure policies are accurate, renewals are handled efficiently, and clients receive excellent service. The position requires strong knowledge of commercial insurance products, risk management, and policy administration. Key Responsibilities
Manage a portfolio of commercial insurance accounts across various industries.
Review and analyze client insurance needs and recommend appropriate coverage.
Prepare insurance applications, submissions, and proposals for carriers.
Process policy changes, endorsements, certificates of insurance, and renewals.
Coordinate with insurance carriers to obtain quotes and negotiate coverage terms.
Review policies for accuracy and ensure compliance with client requirements.
Assist producers with new business marketing and account rounding opportunities.
Maintain accurate client records in the agency management system.
Respond to client inquiries regarding coverage, billing, and claims.
Support clients during the claims process and communicate with carriers as needed.
Ensure renewals are marketed and completed in a timely manner.
Build strong relationships with clients, underwriters, and internal teams.
Required Qualifications
Active Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance license required.
Knowledge of commercial insurance lines such as General Liability, Property, Workers Compensation, Commercial Auto, and Umbrella.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
Professional designations such as CISR, CIC, or ARM.
Experience with agency management systems (such as Applied Epic, AMS360, or Sagitta).
