TITLE: LPN
SCHEDULE: FULL TIME MONDAY- FRIDAY FLEX TIME EARLIEST IN TIME 6:45AM
PAYRATE: $28/HR- $30/HR
POSITION TYPE: TEMP-PERM
LOCATION: KINGSTON, NY
POSITION SUMMARY:
The LPN provides professional nursing care by assessing, planning, treatment, and evaluation of the patient. The LPN provides safe, compassionate, and knowledgeable care to patients. QUALIFICATIONS:
1. Current State Licensure in the State of New York as a Licensed Practical Nurse.
2. Ability to meet the needs of the nursing schedule especially when overtime or time changes occur.
3. Current BLS.
4. Good written skills and verbal command of the English language.
5. Skills in dexterity for moving and positioning patients.
6. Ability to work well with Physicians, fellow employees and patients.
7. Positive response to supervision and criticism.
8. Ability to perform IV Therapy and an IV Course Certificate is preferred, but not required. WORKING CONDITIONS:
1. Requires extensive mobility.
2. Periodic pushing, pulling and lifting patients.
3. Potential exposure to HLD agents,
4. Possible exposure to patients with communicable diseases. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Starts IV s after completion of an IV therapy course.
2. Assesses the individual needs of the patient and family.
3. Provides knowledgeable and appropriate instruction to patients and family.
4. Records information accurately on the nursing notes.
5. Uses supplies, equipment and time in a cost- effective manner.
6. Participates in quality assurance activities.
7. Performs endoscope processing and assists with procedures.
8. Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA and compliance guidelines established.
9. Functions as a team member.
10. Performs other duties as may be appropriately needed.
