SCHEDULE MON-FRI 09:00AM-06:00PM FULL TIME
PAYRANGE $26-$29/HR
TEMP-PERM
POSITION: Licensed Practical Nurse
RESPONSIBLE TO: Clinical Supervisor
DUTIES: Assumes responsibility for clinical duties according to office policy including but not limited to:
- Obtains pertinent medical history from patient.
- Prepares patients for the physical examinations.
- Assists the physician with the patient examination and necessary procedures.
- Documents observations and actions related to patient care appropriately in the patient medical record.
- Keeps exam rooms clean and well stocked.
- Performs finger-sticks and runs lab tests as needed for patients.
- Reviews patient charts for the day ensuring all pertinent information has been received.
- Triages patient phone calls as needed and coordinates patient care with Clinical Supervisor and Physician.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS:
- Works consistently to promote the safety and health of all patients coming to the Practice for treatment.
- Consistently works with Clinical Supervisor to identify ways to improve quality, efficiency and cost effectiveness in patient care.
- Provides a caring and warm atmosphere for all patients and promotes patient welfare at all times.
- Promotes and participates in the health education of all patients.
- Displays professionalism in all aspects of job performance.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Previous primary care experience preferred.
- Current NYS license.
3. Ability to work well under mental pressure.
4. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
5. Well groomed appearance. Courteous and personable manner.
