Job Summary:
The successful candidate will assist attorneys with file management, opening and closing files, making consultation appointments, drafting retainer letters, and advocating for our attorneys with clients. This position includes answering telephones and greeting visitors.
Job Responsibilties:
We are seeking a candidate with experience in the following:
Preparing correspondence
Calendaring court appearances
Filing, downloading and tracking documents from clients and filing appropriately
Downloading Notices & Correspondence from NYSCEF
Assisting with tracking subpoenas and arranging service
Communicating with opposing counsel or other professionals
Communicating and interacting with clients
Collections
Discretion is paramount when handling sensitive client matters. Empathy and understanding are traits we seek in potential candidates.
This is a teamwork driven and collaborative environment, and we are seeking a candidate who is organized, takes the initiative, has pride in work product, a willingness to learn, and is good at multitasking. Professional appearance and manner must meet this law firm’s standards.
