QUALIFICATIONS:
•  Associate’s Degree in Business, healthcare administration or related field required. Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Health Administration, nursing or related field preferred.
•  Registered Nurse Qualifications: Current New York State Registered Nurse License and NYS registration; current BLS certificate by New York Heart Association and current infection control certificate.
•  Minimum three years supervisory or middle management experience in medical practice management preferred.
•  Strong leadership and communication skills; excellent problem-solving and decision making abilities.
•  Must be creative, intuitive team player.
•  Knowledge of healthcare administration including compliance regulations.
•  Ability to work independently and part of a team; prioritize tasks. Must have the ability to interface with participants/patients as well as all levels of staff.
•  Ability to interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, education, racial and ethnic backgrounds.
•  Effective coaching and mentoring skills. Must be able to multi-task and exercise independent judgment. Strong and effective conflict resolution skills.
•  Ability to project a professional image and instill a sense of teamwork and a team-oriented environment.
•  Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Outlook. Demonstrated proficiency in documenting in electronic health records.
POSITION SUMMARY:
•  Assumes responsibility and accountability for planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring and evaluating the provision of services at the clinic site.
•  Collaborates with the Sr. Practice Administrator in promoting quality patient care to the communities we serve through the appropriate utilization of resources and coordination of professional and ancillary staff.
•  Set goals for performance; organizing workflow and ensuring staff understands their duties or delegated tasks; monitor employee productivity and provide feedback and coaching.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Facilitates, plans, organizes and directs the daily operations and the provision of quality and cost effective patient care at the facility in accordance with established standards of care, agency policies/procedures and the mission of Office practice.
Collaborates and coordinates with healthcare providers in identifying patient’s educational needs and provides the resources to meet these needs.
Demonstrates awareness of legal issues, utilizes appropriate judgment and actions to reduce potential adverse consequences for patients, self and the organization.
Monitors and ensures staff compliance to all practice policies/procedures; established standards of care and all infection control practices to include universal precautions and OSHA standards for blood borne pathogens.
Communicates with pharmacies as well as insurance companies related to patient treatment plans and approvals of medications and/or procedures/diagnostic imaging.
Collaborates with the Sr. Practice Administrator in identifying improvement opportunities, developing policies/procedures, monitoring aspects of care and implementing change.
Also participates in QI activities, as assigned, including the initiation of quality measure reports for chronic conditions, no shows and preventive programs, as assigned.
Prepares performance reviews on a timely basis and in accordance with agency procedures. Initiates the employee disciplinary process, when required and, as directed, in consultation with the Sr. Practice Administrator.
Demonstrates compliance to the agencies hiring procedures; conducts staff interviews for approved positions, when assigned, and makes recommendations for employment of qualified candidates in collaboration with the Sr. Practice Administrator as applicable.
Identifies the learning needs of staff and provides appropriate training and in-services to include an organized orientation and credentialing process for new employees.
Responsible for staff training of health center workflows and procedures and ensuring compliance to practice annual mandatory educational programs and re-credentialing process.
Demonstrates a commitment to professional growth by attending educational seminars and keeping current with health care trends.
Maintains a comprehensive knowledge of clinical practice policies and procedures and national standards of care which effectively guide and direct theÂ
provision of patient care.
Demonstrates a commitment to maintaining a supportive work environment that fosters collaboration and communication between all health care team members, projects a positive image to the communities we serve and demonstrates respect for the cultural and religious diversities and needs of patients, families and staff.
Appropriate allocation of staff on a daily basis to meet patient, provider and operational needs.

Collaborates with the Sr. Practice Administrator in providing leadership and oversight with assignments delegated to support staff and medical personnel.
Effectively applies leadership skills to develop and motivate staff in order to achieve maximum potential and productivity in the delivery of care; serves as a resource person, role model and mentor for staff.

Maintains a consistent and flexible pattern of attendance in accordance with assigned schedule and reports to work on time.
Prepares staffing schedules in accordance with the approved staffing methodologies and facilitates the Conforms to agency guidelines regarding dress code; is well groomed and neat. Maintains good personal hygiene.
Performs all related duties, as assigned or, unrelated duties, as requested, during emergencies.
Assumes role of patient advocate and conforms to policies and regulations governing patient rights, confidentiality and the HIPAA Privacy Rule.
Ensures and maintains a clean, safe and therapeutic work environment in the health center. Identifies, investigates and reports patient/environmental safety factors and makes recommendations for improvement.
Demonstrates competency in the utilization of Health Information Technology to perform essential job functions including, but, not limited to (1) documentation in the EHR, (2) Transmission of EHI and (3) Retrieval of EHI.
