Position: Quality Control Assistant
Hours: Monday to Friday 7-4 pm (1 hour break and lunch)
Pay: $23/hour

Position Summary:
This person will be working along with me, and it may become a stable job depending on the person job development.
Job Duties:
- Assists management with interviewing and hiring prospective candidates. Evaluates personnel to ensure correct and adequate coverage on each shift. Monitors subordinate employees and ensures schedules and work duties are completed.
- Achieve QC and operational objectives by contributing to strategic plans.
- Trains new employees on job duties and procedures to ensure employee is meeting the expectations of position. Monthly training as well.
- Establishes daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning schedules to ensure employee is keeping area sanitary to reduce the possibility of food borne illnesses and supervises observation of this process. (warehouse, production, and office). Managing quality and food safety risks, product non-conformities, and issues daily.
- Initiates disciplinary actions with employees as necessary. Follows guidelines established by Company to ensure employees are not breaking work rules.
- Ensures the safe operation, cleaning, and maintenance of equipment and trains employees as required.
- Inspects work completed by employees to ensure standard of quality including proper storage, proper temperatures, proper labeling, and dating of foods. Ensures compliance of HACCP Plan and Participates in all quality assurance tasks as they relate to food quality and services.
- Performs accurately the opening checklist functions to ensure that the facility is ready for the daily operation as well as the verification of the closing checklist to minimize / eliminate extra cleaning next morning.
- Inspects all equipment daily to ensure proper functioning. Reports all defective equipment and facility failed inspections to management and maintenance staff for resolution.
- Inspects all exits and entrances to department to ensure all doors are securely locked at the end of daily operations.
- Verifies that all daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly checks get done in real time and file accordingly.
- Ensure product traceability, lead mock recalls.
