Position: Special Education Teacher Location: Kingston NY Pay range: $50,000 to $75,000 Job Type: Full time Schedule: Monday – Friday, 8am - 3pm, summer hours available

Teaching: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification
Special Education Teaching Certification (Required)
Bachelor’s (Required)
Position Summary:
We are looking for a person that has the skills and passion to lead and supervise their own staff, implement creative educational strategies in the classroom and collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide specialized instruction to students with diverse learning needs
Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to create a supportive learning environment
Utilize various teaching strategies to accommodate different learning styles
Incorporate speech therapy and other related services into lesson plans
Monitor student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly
Experience
NYS certified in Early Childhood Special Education (Birth-Grade 2)
Previous experience working with students with developmental disabilities or in special education settings
Knowledge of early childhood education principles
Familiarity with math instruction for students with special needs
Experience working in a preschool or private school setting is a plus
