Location: Staatsburg Campus
Pay: $23.00 - $24.92 Hourly
Job type: Temp- Perm
Schedule: Full time, Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm

Description
The Staff Accountant (SA) reports directly to the Disbursement/Payroll Supervisor and is responsible for completing payroll of our client on a bi-weekly basis. In addition, SA is responsible for other fiscal office duties to assist in the segregation of duties within the fiscal office. This position could be asked to assist with month-end closings and work paper completion on an “as needed basis”.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
Processing of time sheets for all employees of the agency under the supervision of the Disbursement/Payroll Supervisor.
Prepare payroll journal entries on a bi-weekly basis as instructed by the Disbursement/Payroll Supervisor and completed as needed.
Reconciliation of all payroll withholding general ledger accounts and bank reconciliation on a monthly basis.
Process biweekly reporting as requested.
Reconcile FTE report and 941 taxes on a quarterly basis.
Review and approve Personnel Action Forms and monitor the payroll email address for updates and changes.
Analyze and process our clients International (ACI) additional hours and taxes.
Analyze and process monthly end allocation and accruals.

REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
Related experience preferred.
