Job: Tax Professional
Location: Red Hook, NY
Salary: $70,000-$110,000 BOE
Job Type: Full Time, Permanent (year round)
Job Summary
Our client is a growing tax consulting and accounting firm seeking an experienced and motivated Tax Professional to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working in a collaborative environment and is interested in long-term career growth.
Job Duties:
Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including:
Individual
Partnership
Corporate
Estate and Trust
Assist clients with tax planning and tax strategy
Perform bookkeeping and accounting functions
Process payroll and payroll tax filings
Prepare and file sales tax returns
Calculate and manage estimated tax payments
Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and financial questions
Maintain organized and accurate client records
Depending on experience level, assist with HR functions and/or management responsibilities
Qualifications:
8-10+ years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation preferred
Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, corporate, and estate/trust taxation
Experience with bookkeeping, payroll processing, payroll taxes, and sales tax
Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to think quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
