Accounting Manager

We are looking for someone who can be a leader to our Accounting department.  Applicant must have a broad range of accounting and leadership skills to qualify for this senior management position in a local manufacturing company. This position requires experience with:

• Accounts payable
• Accounts receivable
• Invoicing/ billing (and eventually
• General Ledger entries, end of month
• Financial Reporting and P&L
• Quarterly & Year End Reporting
• Manufacturing Experience Preferred
• Experience with Human Resource functions including payroll, health insurance and all H.R. administration functions will be valued highly.

Qualifications:

• BA in Accounting
• Minimum of 5-10 years of management experience.
• Familiarity with QuickBooks
• Manufacturing Experience

Job Duties:

• Prepare and review a variety of tax returns, including:
  • Individual

  • Estate and Trust
• Assist clients with tax planning and tax strategy
• Perform bookkeeping and accounting functions
• Process payroll and payroll tax filings
• Prepare and file sales tax returns
• Calculate and manage estimated tax payments
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and financial questions
• Maintain organized and accurate client records
• Depending on experience level, assist with HR functions and/or management responsibilities

Qualifications:

• 8-10+ years of experience in public accounting or tax preparation preferred
• Strong knowledge of individual, partnership, corporate, and estate/trust taxation
• Experience with bookkeeping, payroll processing, payroll taxes, and sales tax
• Proficiency with QuickBooks preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to think quickly and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
